LOCATION
Los Nietos is a charming fishing village on the western shore of the Mar Menor in Cartagena, Spain. Originally a small fishing settlement, it has evolved into a popular beachside town with its own marina, attracting many visitors, especially during the summer months.

The village is well-connected to Cartagena by a narrow-gauge railway line, with trains running every 30 minutes and taking approximately 28 minutes to reach the city.
The Mar Menor itself is Europe's largest saltwater lagoon, offering clear, shallow waters ideal for swimming and water sports.

By Car

From Murcia Airport (RMU): Take the AP-7 towards Cartagena, exit at Mar Menor-Gibeller, and follow signs for Los Nietos.

From Alicante Airport (ALC): Take the A-70 to the AP-7 towards Cartagena, exit at Mar Menor-Gibeller, and follow signs for Los Nietos.

From Madrid Airport (MAD): Take the A-3, then A-31, and AP-7 towards Cartagena, exiting at Mar Menor-Gibeller. Follow signs for Los Nietos.
All routes are well-signposted; tolls may apply on the AP-7.

By Train

From Murcia: Take a Cercanías train (C-4 line) from Murcia del Carmen station to Cartagena, then transfer to the FEVE narrow-gauge train heading to Los Nietos.

From Alicante: Take a train to Murcia del Carmen (via Cercanías or medium-distance trains), then follow the Murcia instructions.

From Madrid: Take an AVE or Alvia high-speed train to Cartagena, then connect to the FEVE train to Los Nietos.
Ensure schedules align, as the FEVE train runs limited services.
